The City of Playford expects its current population of 72,400 to grow by 21% by 2016, to just over 91,000. Munno Para’s growth will far exceed this percentage, however, because of new developments in the area.

Resolution Research and Marketing Solutions in a special report on the suburb expects an 80% surge in Munno Para’s population by 2011 – and a further 75% growth by 2016. This will take the population from its current figure of 2,915 to 9,378 by 2016.

Demographics
Munno Para’s population has a median age of 33.8 years, which is lower than both Playford City and South Australian medians.

Shopping
The Munno Para Shopping City is a large development with more than 100 specialty shops and major tenants like Harvey Norman, Coles, K-Mart and Bunnings Warehouse.

Education
Munno Para has its own pre school and primary school while throughout the City of Playford there are 15 pre schools, 20 primary schools, and four secondary schools.

There is a local TAFE, and The University of South Australia has its important Mawson Lakes campus nearby. The campus is the base for information technology, engineering, science and environmental studies plus it houses many internationally and nationally recognised research institutes and centres in state of the art facilities.

Recreation
Munno Para is the site of a recently completed nine-hole North Lakes Golf Course with a length of 5730m.

Sports clubs, an Aquadome, parks, walking and cycle paths, and other recreational facilities, abound in the region.

Transport
Smithfield Station offers easy commuter transport to the CBD, while main North Road provides access to the heart of the city in 40 minutes.

The Northern Expressway running from Gawler in the North to Salisbury is due for completion around 2011. This development will reduce travel time from the northern suburbs by an estimated 10 minutes and will be able to accommodate significantly more traffic than current road networks. On/off connections are located on Curtis and Angle Vale Roads.
